Plot details for Evil Dead Wrath are being kept tightly under wraps right now,, but the next chapter in the legendary horror franchise is officially underway.
Described as an original story set within the Evil Dead universe, the film will continue producer Sam Raimi’s plan to invite bold new filmmakers to put their own stamp on the iconic mythology of demons, possession, and relentless supernatural terror.
About Evil Dead Wrath
Evil Dead Wrath has been officially announced as the next installment in the Evil Dead franchise following Sébastien Vaniček’s Evil Dead Burn, which hits theaters July 24.
The film is written and directed by Francis Galluppi, whose debut feature The Last Stop in Yuma County earned acclaim for its tension-building and sharp direction, and according to producer Sam Raimi, Galluppi is a filmmaker who knows “when to keep us waiting in simmering tension and when to hit us with explosive violence,” praising his uncommon control behind the camera.
The project is said to be an original story developed by Galluppi and brought directly to Raimi and his team.
It continues the modern evolution of the Evil Dead universe, following the 2013 reboot directed by Fede Álvarez and 2023’s Evil Dead Rise directed by Lee Cronin.
Like those films, Evil Dead Wrath will be a standalone story set within the same universe rather than a direct sequel.
Bruce Campbell and Lee Cronin will serve as executive producers alongside Romel Adam and Jose Canas.
Production is currently underway, with filming reportedly set for Auckland, New Zealand - the same location used for Evil Dead Burn.

Release Date
A theatrical release is planned for Evil Dead Wrath 2027 or 2028.
