Ready or Not: Here I Come Release Date Revealed
Guy Busick Reveals Plot Details
Grace wakes up in the hospital. No time has passed for her. The last thing she remembers is her in-laws exploded, including her new husband. They exploded in front of her and covered her in blood. She went outside and had her cigarette. The EMTs and fire department came. The credits roll and it picks up right there. So, when she wakes up, no time has passed. She hasn't processed any of it and then she's thrust immediately into another weirder, bigger game that she doesn't understand … and that we don't understand at first. There's a weird kind of logic to it. Because she survived that adventure in the first one, something has now been triggered and has thrown the entire world into disorder.
Producer 'James Vanderbilt' Reveals Details About What To Expect
There are a couple of different ways we are doing it. I don’t want to give anything away. It’s so early, and there is so little out there. What I will say is one of the reasons it has taken a minute to make this sequel was that we were really hard on ourselves on not just repeating what the first movie was, but also, not losing the sauce of what the first movie was. It’s interesting because there’s a debate all the way through as to what is real and what is not. That is answered at the end of the first movie, so you can’t put that Le Bail back in the bottle. What Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy do in this script is incredibly smart. As soon as they pitched it, it was, ‘Of course that’s what it is. That’s a great idea.’ It’s such a great way to tell this story. I am so excited for people to see it."I think it’s safe to say we expand the mythology without explaining the entire mythology. I don’t know if that sounds exciting, but it’s exciting to us. I think it’s the right amount of worldbuilding, while still telling an amazing emotional story. We felt so privileged that people embraced that movie, that we didn’t want to revisit it if it was going to kinda be like, ‘Oh, look. They did it again.’ We were all okay leaving it be if we didn’t come up with something that we felt added to it, or in some ways, topped it. We are all really excited about what it is going to be.

Melissa Barrera Talks Ready or Not 2
Melissa Barrera has said in an interview with ComicBook.com that she knows some stuff about Ready or Not 2 and it's really good, after being asked about whether she had been contacted about the possibility of joining the sequel.
The last that I spoke with them about Ready or Not, they weren’t going to direct it. So I’m so happy that they’re back on board because, who better to do it than them? It’s a very exciting story. I know some about what the second movie is about and it’s really good.
Perhaps we will get to see her in the film? Rumors are already flying around.
Kathryn Newton Join Cast
Kathryn Newton has joined the cast of Ready or Not 2 in a mystery role, and this will be her second time working with the directors, Radio Silence, after playing a Sammy in their 2024 vampire comedy Abigail.
While it is unclear how big her part will be, I am going to assume she will have a big part to play. [Kathryn Newton on IMDB]

Samara Weaving is on Board For Ready or Not 2
It looks like Samara Weaving is going to be all in for Ready or Not 2. The star, who will be starring in Azrael when it is released in September, recently spoke to ComicBook and had this to say.
I’m all in. I think we’re all in, I don’t know. I think we’re all in. I don’t know if we’ve had our blood handshake, but pretty much. We’ve done the spit handshake, but we haven’t cut each other’s hands and rubbed our blood together.
Ready or Not Is Getting A Sequel
It appears that a beloved horror movie from the past decade may be receiving a sequel.
The talented team at Radio Silence, consisting of Directors Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, along with Producer Chad Villella, have disclosed that they have been diligently working on a follow-up to Ready or Not since 2019.
Speaking to EW, Gillet had this to say.
“It’s getting figured out, That’s what we’ll say: Ready or Not 2 is getting figured out. What we can say is that there is a script that is an absolute f—ing banger of a sequel. And however it gets made, and in whatever capacity we are helping get it made, we are so excited that it’s happening. That movie is truly the love of our creative lives in a lot of ways.”
Ready or Not, released in 2019, featured an all-star cast including Samara Weaving, Adam Brody, Mark O'Brien, Elyse Levesque, Nicky Guadagni, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell.
The movie grossed $57.6 million on a $6 million budget and followed a young bride as she participates in a time-honored tradition with her new husband's wealthy, eccentric family, which quickly turns into a deadly game where everyone fights for their survival.
