Colony: New Horror Movie From Train to Busan Director Releasing in August

Colony 2026

No escape. No cure.

Synopsis

Colony is a high-intensity infection horror film that traps its characters inside a rapidly collapsing environment where survival depends on escaping both the infected - and each other.

The story follows Professor Se-jeong, who attends a biotech conference that suddenly turns into a nightmare when a mutating virus is unleashed, and as the infection spreads at an alarming rate, authorities seal off the entire facility, locking everyone inside.

With no way out, Se-jeong and a group of survivors are forced to navigate a deadly quarantine zone where the infected undergo grotesque and unpredictable transformations, and as fear and desperation grow, the line between human and monster begins to blur.

What begins as containment quickly spirals into chaos, as the survivors must fight to stay alive before the virus consumes everything.

The film will have its world premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival before heading to theaters.
