Synopsis
The Fuzzies is a horror-comedy that blends practical puppetry, stop-motion animation, and dark humor into a twisted tale of nostalgia turned deadly.
The story follows a group of estranged friends who reunite at the eerie estate of their recently deceased childhood friend, and what begins as a somber gathering quickly spirals into terror when they uncover a horrifying truth: the grotesque puppets from her once-beloved children’s TV show are alive.
As the night unfolds, the puppets reveal their sinister nature, turning playful chaos into brutal violence, and once rapped inside the estate, the group must confront both the murderous creations and the buried trauma tied to their shared past.
What was once comforting childhood entertainment becomes a surreal nightmare where friendship, fame, and memory collide in blood-soaked fashion.

According to Funk, the project explores how nostalgia can “curdle into terror,” tapping into the uncanny nature of puppets - objects that feel both comforting and inherently unsettling.
