You Can't Leave is a new supernatural horror-thriller from writer-director Scott Windhauser and stars Spencer Boldman, Paola Andino, Taylor Murphy, Cameron Inman, Kristos Andrews, Thomas Bauer and Joe Nemmers, with the film scheduled for a limited theatrical release on October 16, 2026.

A Search for a Missing Sister

James, played by Spencer Boldman, is trying to find answers after his sister mysteriously disappears, and his search eventually takes him and a group of friends into a remote forest, where they come across an abandoned cabin that turns out to be considerably more important than it initially appears - once they enter the area though, the group discovers that leaving isn't as simple as getting back in the car and driving away, as they become trapped inside what is described as a supernatural prison, with shadowy entities pursuing them while they try to figure out what exactly has happened to the forest and why they are unable to escape.

Spencer Boldman Leads the Cast

Spencer Boldman takes the central role of James, with Paola Andino playing Olivia, and the cast also includes Taylor Murphy as Sophia, Cameron Inman as Gabby, Kristos Andrews as Aiden, Thomas Bauer as Will, Joe Nemmers as Henry and Don Worley as Officer Smith.

Boldman is probably the most recognizable name to many viewers outside the horror world, with credits including Welcome to Chippendales, while Andino has appeared in Queen of the South and Lisa Frankenstein, and Cameron Inman has genre experience through Mayfair Witches, while Joe Nemmers has credits including American Crime and Snitch.

Scott Windhauser Writes and Directs

Windhauser is handling both writing and directing duties on You Can't Leave,with previous credits including The Hurricane Heist, Dead Trigger, Cops and Robbers, Death in Texas and the post-apocalyptic film Rotor DR1 - he has also directed Mafia Wars, Death in Texas, Cops and Robbers and Dead Trigger.

Behind the camera, Vincent Monsaint serves as cinematographer and Northrup Loyd is the editor, and Edwin Wendler provides the score, while the production team includes Gopal Bala, Robert Paschall Jr. and Austin Taylor as producers. Windhauser is also credited as an executive producer.


You Can't Leave arrives in limited theaters on October 16, 2026.
