About Don't Let Them Out
Don't Let Them Out marks the feature directorial debut of writer and filmmaker Lila McLaughlin, who also penned the screenplay.
Described as a psychological horror film in the vein of Hereditary and The Conjuring, the project combines supernatural horror elements with themes of grief, inheritance, and generational trauma.

Production took place at a desert film compound near Barstow, California, with the film moving into post-production after principal photography wrapped, and the project also features veteran editor Eric Strand, whose credits include Donnie Darko, Deep Blue Sea, Mission: Impossible 2, Lethal Weapon 4, and Tomb Raider.
With comparisons to some of modern horror's most acclaimed supernatural films, Don't Let Them Out aims to deliver a character-driven nightmare built around mystery, dread, and psychological terror.
