Synopsis
Hold the Fort is an indie horror comedy that turns the dream of suburban homeownership into a monster-filled nightmare, blending creature feature chaos, fantasy horror, and neighborhood satire, which follows Lucas and Jenny, a young couple who believe they have finally achieved a major milestone when they purchase their first home in a quiet suburban community, and after years of hard work and financial sacrifice, the future appears bright as they settle into their new neighborhood, but unfortunately, their dream home comes with a catch.
Soon after moving in, Lucas and Jenny discover that their seemingly ordinary homeowners association is hiding a terrifying secret, as beneath the manicured lawns, community meetings, and strict neighborhood regulations lies an ongoing war against an army of monsters emerging from Hell itself.

About Hold the Fort
Hold the Fort is said to combine creature-feature action, fantasy horror, and comedy while satirizing contemporary housing struggles and the pressures surrounding homeownership, and rather than focusing solely on scares, the story uses supernatural chaos to explore the frustrations of adult life, suburban expectations, and the hidden costs of chasing the American dream.
The project first gained attention through a successful Kickstarter campaign before making its festival debut at Fantasia International Film Festival, and it also later screened at FrightFest London, Toronto After Dark, and Beyond Fest, earning praise for its energetic monster mayhem and comedic tone.
Following its festival run, Sunrise Films acquired North American distribution rights, with a VOD release planned for Summer 2026.
The film embraces practical creature effects, over-the-top monster battles, and a lighthearted tone designed to appeal to both horror fans and comedy audiences.
