A missing sister leads a group of friends into a remote forest in You Can't Leave, but finding her isn't going to be the only problem - James, played by Spencer Boldman, heads into the woods with his friends after his sister Gabby disappears, where they eventually reach an abandoned cabin hiding an ancient evil, only to discover that the forest itself has become impossible to escape - shadowy entities begin hunting them as the group tries to work out what has happened to the place and how they can get out.

The film is directed by  Scott Windhauser and was produced by Robert Paschall Jr., Austin Taylor and Gopal Bala, with Boldman among the executive producers.

Spencer Boldman Leads the Cast

Boldman plays James and also serves as an executive producer on the film, and he is probably best known for playing Adam Davenport in Disney XD's Lab Rats, which ran for four seasons, and later appeared in Cruise, 21 Jump Street and Welcome to Chippendales.

The cast also includes Paola Andino as Olivia, Taylor Murphy as Sophia, Cameron Inman as Gabby, Kristos Andrews as Aiden, Thomas Bauer as Will, Joe Nemmers as Henry, Cher Cosenza as Bella, Porsha Cosenza as Rosie and Don Worley as Officer Smith.

Andino will be familiar to horror fans from Lisa Frankenstein, while her other credits include Every Witch Way, Queen of the South and Dexter: Original Sin.

An Independent Production With a Theatrical Release

You Can't Leave comes from Brand Story Media, Forza Partners and Guilder Cinema Group. Guilder is the distribution banner established by producers Paschall and Taylor, who are using the film as one of the company's first theatrical releases.

The crew includes cinematographer Vincent Monsaint, editor Northrup Loyd and composer Edwin Wendler. Loyd and Monsaint are also credited among the film's producers/executive producers.

You Can't Leave is scheduled to open in US theatres on October 16, 2026.
