Synopsis
Shed is a tense survival horror thriller that traps its audience inside a child’s worst nightmare, unfolding almost entirely from the perspective of a young girl.
On Christmas Eve, 10-year-old Mia is accidentally locked inside a farm shed just as a violent stranger arrives on the property - alone, frightened, and unable to fully understand what’s happening outside, she begins to realize something terrible has happened to her family.
With the killer only metres away, Mia must endure hunger, isolation, and overwhelming fear while staying completely silent to survive, and as time drags on, the situation becomes more desperate, turning the confined space into a suffocating prison.
About Shed
Shed is a survival horror film directed and written by Steven J. Mihaljevich, delivering an intimate and claustrophobic experience built on tension and restraint.
Presented by Black Mandala, the film focuses on vulnerability and isolation, using a minimal setting to create maximum suspense, and by grounding the story in a child’s perspective, the film amplifies fear through confusion, helplessness, and the unknown.
Blending psychological tension with home-invasion horror, Shed aims to emphasizes atmosphere over spectacle, proving that confinement and silence can be just as terrifying as violence.
