Synopsis
Jay is an ordinary young chicken butcher who becomes deeply obsessed with Wulan, a woman who is already engaged to another man.
After his attempts to win her affection naturally fail, Jay turns to an ancient forbidden ritual known as Pemikat Jiwa (“Soul Enchantment”) - a form of black magic believed to control another person’s emotions, thoughts, and desires.
At first, the ritual appears to succeed, bringing Jay closer to the woman he longs for. But the supernatural force he awakens comes with a terrifying price, and instead of creating true love, the spell unleashes a dark presence that attaches itself to Wulan, turning Jay’s obsession into a nightmare of possession, manipulation, and spiritual horror.
As the curse grows stronger, Jay must face the consequences of attempting to control fate and force someone’s love through forbidden magic.

About the Film
Pemikat Jiwa is an Indonesian psychological supernatural horror film directed by Dom Dharmo and written by Reza Keling, based on a story by Nuugro Agung.
Produced by Makara Production, Nusa Bercerita, Selembe Pictures, and Jupiter Manifest Pictures, the film explores the darker side of obsession, desire, and traditional occult practices.
Rather than focusing on haunted locations or conventional ghost stories, Pemikat Jiwa builds its horror around the concept of pelet - mystical love spells believed in Indonesian folklore to influence another person’s feelings.
The film transforms the idea of forbidden romance into a psychological nightmare about control, free will, and the dangerous consequences of manipulating human emotions through supernatural means.
The story follows a familiar theme within Indonesian horror: supernatural power may promise what people desire most, but the cost of using it can be devastating.
