Synopsis
Kacau follows a group of young friends who participate in a mysterious ritual game involving an old coin, treating it as nothing more than a thrill-seeking challenge, but what begins as innocent fun soon turns into a nightmare when an unexplained supernatural force awakens and starts haunting those involved.
As strange occurrences escalate and fear begins tearing the group apart, the teenagers discover that the ritual is connected to the sinister mythology of the "Spirit of the Coin", and the deeper they investigate, the more they realize that the game carries consequences far beyond anything they imagined.

About Kacau
Kacau was originally considered for television adaptation,where the project spent several years in development before being reimagined as a feature film.
Following delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, development resumed in late 2022 with a stronger emphasis on horror and supernatural suspense, and drawing from his experience directing horror short films, Muzzamer reshaped the story into a theatrical horror experience.
Kacau was filmed over approximately 25 days across locations in Kuala Lumpur and Kedah, where Several scenes were reportedly shot inside a residential building frequently associated with local ghost stories and paranormal legends, helping reinforce the film's unsettling atmosphere.
Director and Cast
Kacau is directed by Muzzamer Rahman and the cast includes Idan Aedan, Khayrisyah Kemal, Fimie Don, Sadiq M. Jamil, Nurel Baharin, Arfie Shah and Evanatie Sannie.

Kacau is expected to be released in Malaysian cinemas in October or November 2026, with final distribution plans currently being finalized, before releasing on streaming platforms.
