Synopsis
Inherit is a Thai psychological horror film that follows a wealthy family haunted by an ancient curse that has waited half a century to return, centered on Woranart, a woman who mysteriously reappears after disappearing 50 years earlier - despite the passing decades, she looks exactly as she did on the day she vanished, leaving her family shocked and searching for answers, but her return, however, is far from miraculous.
Rather than coming home for a long-awaited reunion, Woranart has become the vessel of an ancient centipede spirit that has followed her back, and the malevolent entity has only one purpose - to pass its curse on to Woranart's 18-year-old granddaughter, Oui.
As supernatural events begin to consume the family, long-buried secrets and generations of hidden guilt rise to the surface, and with the curse growing stronger, Oui must confront the horrifying legacy she has inherited before the ancient spirit claims another victim.

About Inherit
Based on the classic 1991 Thai horror novel Tayard Asoon (Heir of the Demon) by Thep Chumsai Na Ayutthaya, Inherit adapts one of Thailand's best-known supernatural stories for the big screen, combining traditional folklore with modern psychological horror, where the screenplay was co-written by Banjong Pisanthanakun, Thamsatid Charoenrittichai, and Chantavit Dhanasevi, continuing the creative partnership behind several of Banjong's previous films.
According to Banjong Pisanthanakun, the story has stayed with him since childhood.
"At its core, it's a story about power, legacy, and the darkness we inherit. It's a Thai story but told with the scale and sophistication that international audiences crave."
Produced by GDH 559, one of Thailand's leading film studios, Inherit will receive international sales support from South Korean powerhouse Barunson E&A, the company behind the Oscar-winning Parasite.
