A fourth movie is set to be released in The Twisted Childhood Universe, and this time it's a horror version of Peter Pan and is titled Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, and an image has been released of from the upcoming movie, which you can view above.
The Twisted Childhood Universe is a British franchise created by Rhys Frake-Waterfield and features horror movies that turn childhood characters into horror characters. It began with the 2023 slasher film Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, which reimagined the friendly bear Winnie-the-Pooh as a horror villain.
Because the first movie was so successful financially, a sequel called Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 was made, and a third is also on the way. Bambi is also getting the horror treatment in an upcoming movie titled Bambi: The Reckoning. In fact, quite a few beloved childhood characters are being given the horror villain treatment.
All of this isn't stopping anytime soon either, with the news there's an upcoming horror movie about Peter Pan. The film is produced by Frake-Waterfield's Jagged Edge Productions. Scott Jeffrey will direct the movie and he also co-wrote the screenplay with Frake-Waterfield.
Martin Portlock will star as Peter Pan, portraying an evil, murderous, and disfigured version of the classic children's character.
The official synopsis reads:
Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare follows Wendy Darling as she strikes out in an attempt to rescue her brother Michael from 'the clutches of the evil Peter Pan.' Along the way she meets Tinkerbell, who in this twisted version of the story will be seen taking heroin, convinced that it's pixie dust.
